[Coach Education]:
A Large number of our coaches and committee members have completed the FAI Kickstart 1 programme and some have gone on to complete the Kickstart 2 and Goalkeeping introductory levels. LDFC Club Secretary, working with James Scott, FAI North Tipperary Development Officer, will have details of on-going courses. Typically the Club makes a contribution towards a course completed by one of our coaches who can bring this education back to his/her own team and the club and put what was learned to great use.
[Coach Forums]:
The Club management committee started a new iniatitive in last year where coaches met with each other and the then LDFC Club Secretary Ursula Mcgrattan and Bobby Lynch LDFC V.Chair/PRO with guest James Scott FAI North Tipperary Development Officer. The purpose was to discuss various topics and issues and to swap stories. In March 2010 a 2nd forum was held with coaches at O Donovans Ballina where a number of on going issues were discussed by all present. Higlighted by Kevin Mcgrattan CPO LDFC was that an updated CP policy, acident, attendance and complaint proceedures will be approved and in place for the upcoming 2010/11 season.
