Lough Derg F.C Academy
Lough Derg FC u6 & u8 Improver Academy
***********************************

Lough Derg FC currently has an improver academy for u6 and u8 (mixed for boys and girls) from October '11 to end April '12 at Clarisford Killaloe, weather permitting, on Saturday mornings from 10.00 to 11.15am. This fun-led session introduces kids to the game where skills and drills and team work are taught and encouraged. This has been one of the key factors in the clubs growth and success since its foundation in introducing new children and adult members to the club. Indeed, some of this years u18 Youths team started with the club at u8 age level.

Children must be in junior infant level at primary school at join the club as members and take part in these sessions.

Coach Education:
**************
A Large number of our coaches and committee members have completed the FAI Kickstart 1 programme and some have gone on to complete the Kickstart 2 and Goalkeeping introductory levels. LDFC Club Secretary, working with James Scott, FAI North Tipperary Development Officer, will have details of on-going courses. Typically the Club makes a contribution towards a course completed by one of our coaches who can bring this education back to his/her own team and the club and put what was learned to great use.
